Bob McNally is one of the most widely read and respected outdoor writers in a field rich with talent. He has hunted throughout much of world over the past 35 years, traveling an average of 50,000 miles annually pursuing game for his stories and photographs. Bob has been around hunting and the outdoors all his adult life. He took his first buck at age 14, with a bow and arrows given him by legendary bowhunter Fred Bear. His first outdoor magazine story was sold to Sports Afield at age 18. Bob began his hunting career in Maryland and West Virginia, where he was born. He grew up in Northern Illinois, where hunting is popular and whitetails are king. He went to college at the University of Wisconsin, where the campus is vacant on opening weekend of deer season. He has written over 5,000 outdoor articles for every important outdoor publication in America, including Outdoor Life and Field & Stream. He is the author of 11 books, and is on the writing staff Outdoor Life Magazine. He has been a full-time newspaper outdoors editor, syndicated outdoor radio host, has appeared on many television programs, and has done numerous outdoor seminars around the nation. His writing, broadcasting and photography work have won over 150 awards.
